The future of the Christian walk

Philip Yancey said," It occurs to me that all the contorted theories about Jesus that have been spontaneously generating since the day of his death merely confirm the awesome risk God took when he stretched himself out on the dissection table--a risk he seemed to welcome. Examine me. Test me. You decide." I believe that Yancey's words represent the future of the Christian walk. 1 Peter 3:15 says, that the believer is to always be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is in them. There is a large majority of the Christian church that is completely lethargic concerning why they are Christians. Questions that are seemingly complex, go unanswered because of a misappropriation of power. Instead of being hungry for the knowledge of Christianity in it's totality, B.C. And A.D., many stop at the gifts and calls. The reason the muslims, atheist, and buddhist are more knowledgable of Christian history is because they study our faith with the intent of finding contradictions. What God is saying is study to show thyself approved. Studying transcends merely reading.

So many times christians would rathers study to prove that their denomination is right. Instead we should study to explain how christianity is right to the sinner. We as christians study on how to win souls into the body of Christ instead of the body of our local assembly.

As stated above, the other religions study christianity to to find contridictions, but christians think that if you learn about another religion other than christianity you will go to hell. How can we reach the people in the other religions if we dont know what they are trying to attain from that particular religion? On the other hand why study another religion and you dont even study your own?

Well spoken. I have become agitated as of late with the reality of "fake breakin Christians!" I didn't mean to go hood, but it is really frustrating to think that there are churches all over the country that are religious out of convenience. I have been reading for sometime books and information about the religion of our forefathers. I'm talking about before our grandparents forefathers. The pattern that I saw was a struggling and suffering people, that out of lack of solid foundational teaching, believed that salvation and redemption was at its peak when they were emancipated. Emancipation was the beginning of the end of physical bondage, but the mental shackles, for some had been broken long before Lincoln.

Bring this up to modern Christianity; there are a extreme number of convenient Christians. People are dying of sickness when they could have been healed. God does not override our lack of knowledge, to force revelation on us; yet it is after we seek him, we find the answer the we had been seeking. You want to know why people don't want to be saved? It is because of convenient Christians; the ones that say," I would cuss you out, but I'm saved!" Let's wake up!! The end is drawing nigh. We were not created to make money; we were created to show forth his glory in the earth realm. How do we do that? We obey his word. In his word we are provided with the tools necessary to survive. When we move faster than the visionary, we over exert ourselves trying to keep up with a vision that has yet to speak. God said: 1)write it, 2) make it plain, 3) though it tarry wait, 4) it will speak. Now that it has been written plainly, wait. If it does not speak, wait, because it shall speak! Living above our means leads us to stress, and stress makes us inadequate witnesses for God. Stress and poverty cause our message to be of no effect.
